Membership/Trash/Recycling Program

The Mission Viejo HOA has an agreement with Waste Connections to provide trash and recycling collection to all residential homes in the community as a way to join our homeowner's association.

This arrangement provides Mission Viejo residents the advantage of receiving weekly trash service and payment of their dues in the form of a rebate from Waste Connections to the HOA each quarter. This program helps reduce the number of trash trucks coming through the neighborhood and is more environmentally conscientious.

Waste Connections provides weekly trash service and biweekly recycling services to each resident enrolled in the program. Details about their services can be found on their website at: https://www.wasteconnections.com/. A resident can enroll in the Mission Viejo Trash Program simply by calling Waste Connections and letting them know they are part of MVHOA. After enrolling, please email one of the board members so that we can verify you have been added.

The Waste Connections mobile app is available to participants and allows them to request weekly reminders for both trash and recycling pickup. The app can be downloaded at their website above. That way you can receive reminders for the days of trash and recycling pickup as well as information on what can and cannot be recycled.

Why not join your neighbors in the Mission Viejo Trash Program? A very small portion ($2 a month) of your trash fee will help support the Mission Viejo HOA. Your participation will be considered as full membership in the Association. Together with this program we can help the environment and our community!

Residents are solely responsible for canceling any of their own previous trash service agreements and making payment for any outstanding services.
